Two More Weeks Later - Meeting With Cardiologist
November 25, 2013
On November 25, 2013, had an appointment with my regular cardiologist to evaluate my lab tests on 11/20/13.
First, he was astounded by my numbers on all the tests, all of which fell into normal ranges. The result was that he told me to stop taking Amlodipine because I was way over-medicated. So I took the last 1/2 pill of that stuff on November 24. Secondly, my weight was down to 191 pounds. That meant that I had lost 15 pounds in 27 days!
The following numbers were reached in 22 days with ever-decreasing medication.
After having been addicted to a Western diet for 67 years, it is hard to believe that I have stayed on this program even for this short time. Being from Kentucky, I used to drink gravy like it was a beverage, and once I ate 22 pats of butter on a single slice of white bread. But somehow I have avoided dairy (which includes cheese, yogurt, butter, milk), all oils, and all eggs. Plus, anything that has a face or a mother (including poultry and fish). Virtually all salt or sugar is gone. Instead, I eat all the vegetables, fruits, whole and unprocessed foods that I can. And tons of beans. Beans, I said. In fact, I went down to Costco tonight and bought a 25 lb bag of pinto beans. Now that you know all this, just in case we ever meet someday, there is one thing of which you always want to be aware. Be sure to note where you are standing in relation to where I am standing. A good place would be either in front of me or upwind. But whatever you do, don't walk behind me with a lit candle.
11/24/2013 Last Amlodipine taken
11/25 Dr. Appt with Dr. J. - weight 191 pounds. All medications are now GONE (!), and all blood pressure
readings are in the 110-120 range consistently.

- Cholesterol was 158. My Naturopath said that no one with cholesterol under 150 has ever had a heart attack!
- Triglycerides, 79
- HDL, 41: LDL, 101
